Union Metrics is looking for our first team member to focus exclusively on sales of our flagship service TweetReach. If you love working with prospective customers to find the right product/solution fit, enjoy the thrill of the hunt, thrive on the close, and would rather do nothing more than help companies better understand how to measure their social media efforts, then Union Metrics is for you.

We’re a small but quickly growing (more than 400% last year!) team of developers, designers, and communicators headquartered in San Francisco, California, with an office in Austin, Texas. We’re working on solving big problems for the PR, marketing and entertainment industries and our tools are used by thousands of companies across the world, including 25% of the Fortune 500 and half of the top PR agencies in the world. We’re helping companies get the most from their social media campaigns and business is booming – we’re setting new usage records every week.

If you love a work hard/play hard culture, the inherent ambiguity and frenetic pace of a startup, and can identify, qualify and close business, you’ll be in a good position to be successful here. If you are fluent in obscure Futurama and Archer references, then your chances are even better. Union Metrics is right in heart of SOMA in downtown San Francisco, easily accessible by BART, Caltrain or Muni.

Location

This job is based in our awesome San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close all inbound and outbound sales opportunities
  • Be totally comfortable on the phone, Twitter, and email, and be motivated to contact prospects via multiple methods in order to achieve your targets
  • Manage a large and growing database of prospective customers

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, phone, and email communication skills
  • Advanced user of modern web/online communication technologies, including Twitter and Facebook
  • Comfortable working in and reporting through Salesforce
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Initiative to prospect calls
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • The ability to self-start, adapt, contribute and succeed in a rapidly changing, early stage company environment
  • You must be positive, flexible, willing to learn, and constantly push yourself to succeed
  • Background in marketing, sales, business development, public relations or communications
  • 1 year of relevant sales experience as a top 10% performer
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
